The Hollidaysburg Area 2010 Postal Food Drive was a great success! Thanks to all our gracious volunteers. Thanks to the Hollidaysburg Area High School Football Team and the group from Leamersville Grace Brethren Church as well as folks from St. Mary Church and Hollidaysburg First United Methodist Church. A total of 9,914 lbs of groceries was donated, sorted and stored in the pantry for distribution throughout the surrounding Hollidaysburg area communities.

This is the first year that we have had enough volunteers to receive, sort and organize the donations on the same day. We normally take weeks of extra volunteer hours to get it ready for distribution but because we had enough help, it was all done by the end of the day!

Thanks to all our Postal Workers and their families who worked so hard to collect the groceries. We are so appreciate all the effort that went beyond the call of duty to help others. It was a great day and will make a very noticeable difference in our pantry!
