Meeting The Needs Of Families

If you are a donor or want to do a food drive for the American Rescue Workers, please give us a call at (814) 695-0762, ask for Christine Martin and she will help to answer any questions you may have and coordinate the donation with our office.

Our food pantry shelves are filled from various areas of community involvement.  Various donors run food drives for us through out the year including:

F Churches in the Community

F Post Office

F Scouts

F Private Donors

F Businesses

F Other Community Organizations

F Martin’s Gift Cards

We also have food from the federal and state governments that supply us with a limited amount of food.  In addition to those resources we also purchase from the Second Harvest Food Bank in Harrisburg PA which helps us to stretch our dollars even further.

Our needs are constantly changing so if you want to donate,  call us at (814) 695-0762 and see what our shelves are in need of.  There are always basics that we need year round and they are:

Canned soups, Canned Meats, Soups, Toilet Tissue, Paper Towels, Bath Soaps, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Shampoos

Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (when planning your next garden, how about adding a plant for the mission?)

We also take leftovers from large dinners and portion pack them for distribution to our families, remember us when you throw your next social!
